Tractors were mobilized to BNF silos-yard
Hundreds of tractors acquired by the National Development Bank (BNF) in 2009 were in the placed in the silos-yard of the National Storage Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries (Magap).
This move comes three months after the regime leader, Rafael Correa, decreed the transfer of that machinery to Magap, after the April 26 surprise visit of two storage buildings of the BNF, one in the former ice rink in Samborondon, and one at the Citadel La Atarazana in Guayaquil.
The Ecuadorian president said the BNF bought thousands of tractors and hundreds of agro-vehicles and only 30% was machinery for farmers. Correa questioned the payment of almost $ 3 million on the lease of private cellars.
There are 970 tractors and 110 agro-vehicles in Duale said Correa. He added that 500 tractors would be marketed in several associations.
