Transporters Announce Demonstrations Next Week

Posted On 27 Sep 2010

As a sign of protest against the reforms on the Traffic Law, six federations of Transportations will go out on the streets on demonstrations. The groups demand the previous agreements to be respected, since, according to them, the new Law does not comply with them. This past saturday, members of the National Assembly received the reforms on the Traffic Law.

According to them, the articles 144 and 145 of the Traffic Law allow illegal transportation in the country. They also add that this law “penalizes and does not provide training”. The members of these groups name the responsible ones for the passing of the reforms of this Law, affirming César Rodríguez and Rafael Dávila, both from Alianza PAIS are to blame for the reforms.

The transporters did not report the streets where they will be protesting next week.
