Trial Against Diario El Universo Will be Held Today

The complaint that the Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa submitted against Daily El Universo, its directors and former Opinion Editor comes to the final hearing.

 The hearing will be held today at 10:00 (local time) in the Auditorium of the Provincial Council of the Judiciary (Guayaquil). The room was cleaned yesterday and the chairs were arranged in order to host the parties, their lawyers and witnesses.

 Directors of El Universo, Carlos, Cesar, and Nicolas Perez as well as the former editor of Opinion, Emilio Palacio, come to this hearing under alleged slanderous charges.
