Thailand welcomed the new policy for Twitter, tweets censor content in specific nations which violates its laws.
The Asian nation routinely blocks Web sites with content deemed offensive to the monarchy.
Anudith Nakornthap, technology minister considered positive that Twitter “feels responsible to cooperate with governments to ensure that basic rights are not violated by the use of social media.”
Twitter reported that it will publish a noticfication of censure when removing a broadcast message and withdrawal requests received from governments, companies and individuals on atchillingeffects.org page.
