Two Novels Ecuadorian Candidates 2010 Planet Prize
509 novelists participe in the Planet Novel Prize, the best prize money of Hispanic letters, to be ruled on Oct. 15.
Literary Works come from Argentina (25), Peru (18), Mexico (16), USA (14), Chile (12), Venezuela (9), Colombia (8), Bolivia (5), Costa Rica ( 4), Canada (3), Uruguay (3), Cuba (2), Puerto Rico (2) and Ecuador (2).
The number of manuscripts “confirms one more year the interest awakened literary award in the literature in Spain and Latin America.”
The editorial pointed out this is the fourth time in the history of award “was received more than 500 novels.”
The Planet Prize Novels 2010 is worth 601 000 euros for the winning and runner-up 150 250 euros for, and the award will take place, as every year, on 15 October in the course of a literary dinner in Barcelona.
Spain has submitted 249 original, although the novels have a very diverse origin and have been sent from South America (83 works), North America (33) and Europe (8), and Africa, from where he has also original come from Senegal.
In Europe, there have been writers from France (4), Netherlands (2), Sweden (1) and Switzerland (1).
