The director of the company that rented the tourist boat that sank in the Volga and a ship registrar who certified it were arrested by the Russian police, prosecutors informed. Officials have said the “Bulgaria”, which was built in 1955, was overloaded and in poor condition when it sank in the Tatarstan region.
Divers keep searching for the bodies of the victims “until we are sure that all the bodies have been found,” Deputy Emergencies Minister Alexander Chupriyan said.
