U.S. Congress resume immigration law
This morning the U.S. Congress resumed the session that was scheduled to discuss the immigration reform, and other topics such as the problematic of student loans, confirmation of officials and the agricultural law.
The reform, which includes procedures for the legalization of more than 11 million undocumented immigrants and an eventual path to citizenship, is backed by President Barack Obama.
On Wednesday, the former U.S. President, George W. Bush will speak during a naturalization ceremony and immigration forum at the Dallas’ Presidential Center, where he will present his arguments in favor of the reform and the benefits it will provide to the United States.
Almost half of the undocumented in the U.S. has entered the country legally with temporary visas and stayed to work and study, contributing to a more diverse demographic which threats the Republican Party.
