Ursula Andress one of the Sexiest ‘Bond Girl’ of the history
In 1962, the Swiss actress Ursula Andress broke all existing schemes about the actresses of the decade, when she came out of the sea during the film “007 against The Satanic Dr. No”, wearing a white bikini that accentuated her curves, with a steep dagger strapped to her hip.
After becoming a blockbuster movie, Andress also turned into one of the most attractive women of the sixties, considered, until today, as one of the sexiest “Bond Girl” ever.
This Month, Ursula Andress celebrates 50-year career, that’s why she is remembered in her early roles like “Adventures of Giacomo Casanova” (1954) and “An American in Rome” (1954), both directed by Steno .
In 1962 came the golden opportunity to Andress, who played Honey Ryder, the first Bond girl alongside Sean Connery in the British production cited above, “007 against Dr. No”.
From that moment, the American and British producers fought to close contracts with the Swiss-born actress. In 1963 she filmed the American musical “Fun in Acapulco” directed by Richard Thorpe, with Elvis Presley as a star.
Ursula also shared credits with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Anita Ekberg, Peter Sellers and Peter O’Toole. Also, she collaborated with John Derek who became her husband from 1957 to 1966.
Ursula retired from the business after filming the movie “Clash of the Titans” (1981), directed by Desmond Davi, where he met Harry Hamlin who was her partner and the father of her son, Dimitri Alezandre Hamlin. They separated in 1983.
