Temperatures dropped subzero in the Midwest of U.S with bursts of arctic winds. International Falls, a town in Minnesota, had recorded temperatures of 46 degrees below zero, and was proclaimed the “freezer of the nation” over the weekend. While, in the most part of the state of New York and New England there are still the temperatures of 15 degrees below zero, although it is expected that it could reach to -25 degrees Celsius.
Several forecasters assured that the temperatures that have beaten the country are the worst of the last two years.
“We have an arctic cold prepared for most of the eastern half of U.S,” reported the weather service which also announced that another major snowstorm will hit the southeast and northeast of the country the next week.
