Vicepresident Lenin Moreno Begins Official Visit to Russia
Lenin Moreno, Vice President from Ecuador starts a events calendar in Moscow in order to develop themes about commerce, cultural and social according to an official statement issued by the Government.
The objective is to seek market opportunities in Moscow in order to promote some Ecuadorians products.
“It will be an opportunity to showcase potential products such as flower, banana, fish, cocoa and manufacturing or crafts, as part of the Government’s policy based in expansion and diversifying markets,” said the Vice President.
The official agenda also includes a meeting with the Director of Humanitarian Institute in Moscow, Vaguif Vayramov in the agency’s headquarters, to exchange information on social work undertaken by the Government of Ecuador and reach potential areas of cooperation.
Moreno maintained also met with Deputy Culture Minister of Russia, Andrei Busitin, the director of the State Institute of Circus and Variety Arts, Valentina Matvienko, who will address proposals to promote values such as good humor and joy within the campaign “Smile Ecuador.”
This campaign also includes the creation of circus schools focused in areas to the most vulnerable groups in Ecuador.
On Friday, Moreno plans to meet with officials and personalities in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and visit the Kremlin, after which it will observe a function of the famous circus “Nikulin,” the Russian capital.
The agend in Moscow will include the ceremony of unveiling the bust of the Indian writer Jorge Icaza, the only author of Ecuadorian literature who will deal a public place in the Muzen Sculpture Park, in recognition of his work, noted the Vice President.
The next weekend, Moreno will travel to St. Petersburg, he will meet with the city’s governor, Valentina Matvienko. (EFE)
