Judge Julio Arrieta, president of the Pichincha Provincial Court of Justice, ordered Tuesday the preventive detention of the executive secretary of the Citizen Revolution movement, Virgilio Hernández.

Judge Arrieta took the decision almost three hours of deliberation.
With the confirmation of Hernández’s link to the case by rebellion, the fiscal instruction goes from 90 to 120 days of fiscal instruction.
For the Prosecutor’s Office, there would be sufficient elements of conviction that reveal Hernández’s participation in the events under investigation and for which Pichincha prefect Paola Pabón is already being prosecuted; the leader of the RC, Christian G. and Pablo D.
