Posted On 18 Mar 2011

Western countries like USA, France, Britain and, Arab countries have given an ultimatum to Gaddafi before attacking. Obama was the first to give a last chance to Libyan dictator, while France has demanded to restore the supply of electricity, gas, and water. “Gaddafi must comply with the UN resolution or face military action,” said Obama.

According to statements by the President, the United States will not act alone against the Gaddafi regime and, as stated in the UN, it will not invade Libya byland combat troops. “Let me clarify this, the operation will be alongside our allies” in the United Kingdom, France and Arab countries, without specifying which nations.

Obama has been forced to appear in Libya after Thursday night, when United Nations adopted the resolution that allows a no-fly zone over the country Libya.

“For decades, Gaddafi has shown itself capable of using brute force, has made killings in their country,” Obama said. “If allowed to continue as before without doubt commit atrocities against their people, thousands will die, be a humanitarian crisis that destabilized the region. Again, Gaddafi has options: U.S., UK, France and Arab states demand a definitive ceasefire. Gaddafi should stop his troops from reaching to Benghazi. He must restore water and electricity and allow delivery of humanitarian aid to Libya. These requirements are firm and not negotiable,” Obama concluded.
