White House Will Investigate Troop Deaths

Senior officials of the White House along with military officials extended their condolences to their Pakistani counterparts after the NATO attacks that killed 24 of their troops. The unidentified officials expressed their decision to work with Pakistan to investigate the deaths.
Afghanistan has demanded that United States abandon the base used by American drone aircraft within 15 days. The White House statement did not address Pakistan’s decision to block the supply routes for the war in Afghanistan or their demands to vacate the base. (AV)
