With changes Petroecuador receives Comptroller report

Marco Calvopina
Marco Calvopina, manager of Petroecuador, has several reservations about the report submitted by the State Comptroller regarding the oil sales agreements signed with PetroChina, which the control entity found several irregularities.
For its part, the Comptroller said that awards were negotiated below the market with Petrochina, it did not respected the crude destination that by law must go to refineries, since it acquired some quality adjustments that mean losses fore the cuntry, among other cases.
Calvopina said “these allegations are ridiculous,” referring to the complaint filed by Assemblyman Clever Jimenez (PK) and his advisor Fernando Villavicencio which subsequently became the basis of the Comptroller. That they tried to satirize the publications on this report which shows the loss of the state, adding that the loss would not be $ 39.9 million but of $ 44 million, he ended up saying is time that they “learn to add.”
On the technical side, he informed that it is wrong to compare the prize that was negotiated with Petrochina (which for being low it would have caused the loss of $ 39.9 million), with another auction sale conducted in 2009: the Crude of Perenco received an award of $ 1.96.
Finally, Calvopiña insisted that such an oversight body, “without scandal we have to talk technically, rationally explain our views, these considerations tell us that they have had.”
