Woman Goes Through Brutal Treatment Protesting Animal Testing For Cosmetics
Jacqueline Traide, 24 years old activist for animal rights, underwent the same interventions that live animals undergo for experimentation and testing of cosmetics.
Traide, volunteered to make a public display at Lush cosmetics shop, in London, to make a wake-up call about the abuse that these animals are forced to live. The idea was that people see what animals feel when experiencing them.
The young activist was tied with a rope around her neck and dragged into a chair. She opened her mouth with two metal hooks attached by a rope around her head. Her head was filled with electrodes, for 10 hours her body and face were tested with all kinds of lotions and treatments, she received injections and even pieces of her hair were taken away.
The fact that this campaign wants to show is the difference between Trade and the animals. Trade went home after the execution, however the animal was over died after long suffering.
“I hope it will plant the seed of a new awareness in people to really start thinking about what they go out and buy and what goes into producing it,”
