Youngsters attempted to enroll a donkey as Assemblyman

GUAYAQUIL, Ecuador

A group of young people calling themselves “Outraged,” arrived at the headquarters of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) in Guayas with a donkey to register him as a candidate for the Assembly.

The Twitter account that supports the idea is called “@DonBurroReal” and already shows hundreds of followers who support his candidacy.

"Mr. Donkey - Candidate to the Assembly of the Ecuadorian Republic! - Vote List 0"

The initiative is given as a protest by the quality of candidates for the Assembly that are being included in lists of the different political groups participating in the 2013 elections.

In the end, the CNE closed its doors so the donkey could not register his candidacy.
