Zubeldia Resigned Barcelona Sporting Club Leadership
This morning Argentine coach, Luis Zubeldia announced through a press conference, his resignation to the technical direction of Barcelona Sporting Club.
“(…) the respect is lost and when that happens someone has to move backward (…)” said Zubeldia.
According to the technician, the decision was taken after an altercation with the club president Antonio Noboa, after the match against Liga de Quito, which equated to an end.
“The president made me a comment which I believe was misplaced, if decisions are not respected coach relationship is broken. I say it honestly, I choose to step aside for the good of the institution,” he concluded.
The trainer did not take questions from reporters, so that nobody can “misrepresent anything.”
“(…) until today, we had a good relationship with all parties. When you lose the respect there are things you can not miss, for me it would be easy to stay, but I choose to go. I’m frontal and I thank you all very much.”
Zubeldía was named coach of this team of Guayaquil on July 23, 2011. In his time as a trainer of Barcelona he did 33 games, won 18, lost 7 and tied 8.
