110 former workers will present a demand if the CJ does not pay their assessments
Attorney Irlando Barros warned that if the settlement payment of 110 former workers of judicial contractors is not payed until August, they will submit a complaint against the Council of the Judiciary (CJ).
“We’re going to sue the employer, which is the justice, to do justice by paying itself, it seems like a tongue twister, but it’s the reality”, he said.
Barros said that workers have eight months waiting for contractors of the CJ to pay them. “They owe them the payment of the proportional thirteenth and fourteenth wages, vacations, reserve funds and salaries to others”, he said.
He added that 110 workers have filed lawsuits but in total, among the works of the Palace of Justice, the Alban Borja, Luque and Tulcán and Samborondón, there are more than 400 affected workers.
