Correa does not rule out intervention in wage determination for telecommunication
President Rafael Correa said yesterday during National Address, that the Government does not rule out intervene in the definition of wages for the telecommunications sector in the case that the workers of mobile phone companies do not require an improvement.
“What we will do is act directly. There are tables, sectoral committees; if they do not agree, we will set minimum wages in the telecommunications sector, “said Correa.
The president said this afternoon, at 18:00, will receive delegates from Claro and Movistar to discuss the draft sent to the Assembly to reduce employee profit from 15% to 3% (the plan is that 12 % go to state). “If they convince me we can change the measure,” said Correa
