12 years since the attack on the twin towers
On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York, epicenter of the economic power of the United States suffered a terrorist attack from Al Qaeda which took the lives of about 3 000 people, including 15 Ecuadorians who were working in different areas.
Today the world remembers twelve years of this tragedy that shook the world and left hundreds of children in the orphanage, therefore, today were held various memorials in the place where the World Trade Center was located, and the President of the United States, Barack Obama, will participate in an event at the Pentagon, where a third plane crashed.
Despite this, the attention media and politics will not be put in remembrance of this date due to the fact that currently the country is facing the possibility of undertaking a new attack against a country in the Middle East, this time Syria.
However, this time the situation is different, as support of americans for a possible intervention against the regime of Assad, is less than 30%, while the possibility of getting approval in Congress is more distant.
