161 Police Members will Come Out to Patrol Streets in Guayaquil Today

Starting today, 161 policemen belonging to elite groups of the National Police will patrol the streets of Guayaquil. Their work will be focused in areas with greatest anti-social impact.
161 members of the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR), Special Operations Group (GOE) and Antinarcotics Special Group (GEM) will be divided into ten workgroups.
Interior Minister, José Serrano, said the government will invest between 150 and 200 million dollars in public safety and Guayaquil is the priority.
