Writers Sign Letter Against Candidate Keiko
Over a hundred of Peruvian writers signed a letter expressing their rejection against Kieko Fujimori, since they consider her a threat to the freedom and democracy of his country.
Among such writers are, Mario Vargas Llosa, Alfredo Bryce Echenique, Miguel Gutierrez, Rodolfo Hinistroza, Daniel Alarcon, Santiago Roncagliolo, Fernando Iwasaki, Jorge Eduardo Benavides, and Eduardo Gonzalez.
This manifest was published a few days after the second round of the presidential elections. The letter was named “Against the return of Fujimori while favoring democracy.” The text rejects the Fujimori dictatorship, and the judicial process of its leaders because of their uncountable crimes against humanity.
Candidate Ollanta Humala has publicly sworn to defend the human rights, and called the society to maintain their rejection against the government of Keiko Fujimori. Currently Humala is losing with a disadvantage of 2 to 7 points against Keiko.
