The main authorities in Ecuador of the Spanish company Ros Roca Indox, Paul U.P. (legal representative) and Salvador R.E. (president and owner), are fugitives of the Ecuadorian justice.
Both are involved in the preliminary investigation of the Prosecution that filed charges against them last November 5th for the untimely suspension of operations in the gas liquefaction plant, which initially was scheduled to produce 200 tons of liquefied natural gas per day. The facilities are located in El Guabo county, in the Bajo Alto commune, in the province of El Oro.
Criminal Judge Maria Fernanda Gallardo ordered the preventive detention of both representatives and also ordered the intervention of the company and the freezing of its assets and funds in the country.
On February 20, 2015, without any reason, the personnel of Ros Roca left the gas liquefaction plant, leaving three power generators out of service and unfinished repair works that were underway.
