2011 Pan American Games: Ecuador Earns Seven Golden Medals

Cesar Ernesto de Cesare needed only 35 seconds and 971 miliseconds to earn Ecuador their seventh golden medal in the Pan American Games of Guadalajara 2011. His performance was seen yesterday during the final of K1 canoeing.
The smiling canoeist qualified to represent the Tri in the upcoming London Olympic Games 2012 when he achieved the seventh place in Hungary’s World tournament last August.
The Ecuadorian pointed out that arriving 15 days prior to the competition allowed him to familiarize with the lagoon of Zapotlan in the city of Guzman, Mexico. The temperatures of the location varied from 9 to 10 Celsius degrees. (AV)
