21st date will mark definitions

The penultimate round of the Ecuadorian soccer championship , to be played on Sunday December 1, could be the final date  to determine the 2013 national champion, the qualified teams for the international tournaments, and teams that will be moved to the B series.

The most important game is between Manta and Emelec in Portoviejo, where local team will be host because its stadium is being repaired in Manta. The match will be played at 13:30 in the Real Tamarindos stadium. If the Blue team win or tie will become champions, even if they lose and the Independent does not win in Loja.

The first match of the day will be Liga de Quito vs Deportivo Cuenca at 11:30 in the Casa Blanca stadium (Quito) and is bound to win to qualify for an international tournament. Cuenca also needs to score to avoid relegation.

Then, El Nacional receives Macara at 13:30 in the Atahualpa stadium, in Quito and the military team needs to win to get into the South American Cup classification, while its opponent is not  playing for anything because two dates ago it descended  to the B series.

Later, Liga de Loja receives in its stadium, Reina del Cisne, to Independiente del Valle at 14:45. Local team will fight to avoid relegation, while visitors need to win to achieve the vice championship.

At 16:00 at the stadium 7 de Octubre, Deportivo Quevedo recives Deportivo Quito and both need to score points; the local team will try to save themselves from relegation while the “chullas” will try to become vice-champions.

In the closing date 21, Barcelona receives in the Monumental stadium at 16:45, Universidad Católica. Both teams need the points to keep aspiring to classify to an international tournament.
