4 media sanctioned for broadcasting the results of an exit poll

The Superintendency of Communication (Supercom) sanctioned four media for breaching Section 10 of the Communication Law, after these disseminated exit poll results that allegedly declared Guillermo Lasso, presidential hopeful of the CREO party, the winner of the runoff held on April 2nd.
The sanction corresponds to a written admonishment issued on April 28 against the television channels Ecuavisa, Teleamazonas and Canal Uno; And Daily Expreso, for not complying with Section 10, number 3, paragraphs a and b of that law.
These refer to verify and contrast the information before releasing it; And refrain from intentionally ignoring and misrepresenting the information.
