5 ministers got tangled on sensitive issues

In the first weeks of the year, political upheavals have been a constant. And the ministers of President Rafael Correa have played a leading role in these upheavals.

There are five cases they have shown setbacks. The conflict with the Andean University; the handling of demonstrations in the Montufar High School; the ISSFA and the relationship with the military; debts to local governments; and the performance of Interior Minister Jose Serrano, who has exhibited in Twitter details of the investigation into the death of two young Argentine tourists, in Montañita and that could delay the due process.

For an analyst and two politicians consulted, the performance of the cabinet could reflect that a crisis exists. “The deep political crisis reveals the incompetence of ministers to address problems from the interest of society.” Marcelo Larrea, militant of Democracy Si, states this.

What crisis are they talking about? For example, on Tuesday, because of a tense relationship with the military, Fernando Cordero left the Ministry of Defence. And there is speculation on the name of his successor and the changes that would be implied in other ministries.
