5 museums present an axhibition of the Ecuadorian Amazon

Knowing in a panoramic way the cultural, anthropological and sociological richness of the Ecuadorian Amazon is posible in one day. The Foundation Museums of the City and the Metropolitan System of Museums and Cultural Centers created, for the second consecutive year, a scientific and entertaining journey through five cultural spaces of the city.
Until February 29, people who want to to know more about the Ecuadorian Amazon can visit the Ethnographic Museum Abya -Ayala, the Ethnohistoric Museum of Handicrafts of Ecuador (Mindalae), the Ecuadorian Museum of Natural Sciences, the Botanical Garden and the Virarium.
In the Ethnographic Museum Abya-Yala (12 de Octubre and Wilson streets), through 1500 pieces, visitors can learn about the life and customs of the different indigenous nationalities: Cofan, Zapara, Siona, Secoya and wuao. One of the attractions is the exhibition of shrunken heads or tzantzas.
