Seven policemen allegedly distributed the same drug they seized

Seven policemen arrested for being allegedly involved in the crime of micro-trafficking yesterday were admitted to the Center for Social Rehabilitation in Ibarra, in the Imbabura province.
Judge Mauricio Cahuenas ordered the preventive prison for the officers during an indictment hearing held during the afternoon and evening of that day.
According to the prosecution, one of the police officers, Santiago V. J. V., 27, was surprised by his teammates Sunday afternoon during a routine operation. The agent was detained while driving a silver vehicle with darkened glasses, plates PWX689, in the Fray Vacas Galindo and Salvador streets, in the west of the city. 983.3 grams of cocaine were seized.
