76% of jobs are generated by the private sector

Posted On 25 Sep 2015

trabajadores-ECUADORTIMES-ECUADORNEWSOut of 100 adequate jobs, 76 are generated by the private sector noted Richard Martinez, president of the National Federation of Chambers of Industry of Ecuador, at the opening of the XII Industrial Congress of Ecuador ‘Consolidating sustainable enterprises.’

In his welcoming speech, he said that “the economic situation requires taking actions at all levels to sustain dollarization and recover the path of growth, preventing the adjustment to fall on the most vulnerable sectors.”

He also stressed that “it is important to create a balance in relation to public policy decisions, between two non-exclusive goals: efficiency and equity.” He added that “moving forward together in the country involves deposing attitudes and prioritize the economical, ideological and political aspects.”

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister of Production, Employment and Competitiveness, Nathalie Cely, explained the need to increase entrepreneurship. “We will make an effort to prioritize the issue of innovation in order to increase the productivity and efficiency of the industry.”
