Government Shall Not Release Any Advertisement About Upcoming Elections

Omar Simon, president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), said that the current Government could do its regular advertisement that has been done during the campaign period, but this advertisement cannot contain any message concerning to the upcoming referendum.

Simons stressed that they are looking for the best mechanisms for an equally distribution for all the actors in the social sectors for the next election campaign, even more when they are dealing with a referendum that has supporters and detractors.

Meanwhile, CNE continues making the necessary changes for the Referendum to be held on May 7, which will address issues such as social security, animal abuse, and the media, among others.
