El Universo Case: Flash drive Could have Carried the Sentence

El Universo legal representative, Joffre Campaña, informed in a preliminary report that the content of the flash drive that carried the file Correa 457-2011.doc could have serious conclusions.

Campaña reviewed the seven conclusions of the document. 1) the file with the sentence was not created by the Courthouse 15^th, 2) such file was created illegally with a different equipment of that office, 3) it was written in a different version of Microsoft Word, 4) the author of the file is not the registered user, 5) the only file that has a different user is the one that carries the sentence, 6) a flash drive unit was attached to the computer, 7) the creation of such file was registered four minutes after the device was mentioned in the memory of the hard drive.

The technical report informed that the author of the file is “Chucky-Seven” user, the file was created at 23:13 (local time), this mean it was made four minutes after it was detected the access to the storage unit. Campaña pointed out that the evidence was made outside the courthouse. He remarked that if this comes to be seen through an official technical experts report, the decision would have no validity since it will show that it was the result of an act of corruption. (AV)
