Katy Perry and Harry Potter Were Absent in the People’s Choice Awards
This January 11 held the 38th edition of the People’s Choice Awardsat the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, where the fans decide who would take awards.
Katy Perry and Daniel Radcliffe were absent from the night, the singer of “Teenage Dream” won in five categories, including song of the year for “E.T.“. While the British actor and his film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” took home four awards, including favorite movie.
Johnny Depp, who also attended the ceremony, was named best actor, and Emma Stone was present to receive the award for best female actress. While Robert Pattinson sisted the awards sporting a new haircut and took the prize for best drama film by “Water for Elephants“; and the legendary Morgan Freeman accepted the award for favorite 2011 film icon.
CBS’s sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” was named best television series and Demi Lovato was chosen as favorite pop singer.
In this issue there were 230 million votes via the Internet, a new record in the history of the awards.
