Correa Received Ahmadinejad In Carondelet
After his arrival in Quito, the president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad went to Plaza de la Independencia, where he was received by Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa and dozens of people singing the national anthem. Both Presidents entered the Palace of Carondelet after.
Before lunch, Correa and Ahmadinejad thanked each other for the invitation to visit Ecuador and the reception.
“The union of all the humanity, a human society seeking progress, justice and peace, sovereignty, unity of people,” said Correa. “Glad to meet friendly and caring people of Ecuador, I have brought a message of love, affection and solidarity,” said Ahmadinejad.
Correa referred to Ahmadinejad as his “brother” and added that it “the era of the people has begun people are waking up all over the world to build a more beautiful world.”
After meeting with Fernando Cordero, Ahmadinejad will continue his tour in Latin America.
