Tours send pilgrims to witness the canonization of Juan Pablo II and Juan XXIII

Posted On 20 Apr 2014

canonización-vaticanoIn order to be present at the canonization of Juan Pablo II and Juan XXIII, to be held on April 27, several parishioners departed from Guayaquil heading to the Vatican.

Among the believers who traveled this week to attend the religious meeting in which dad Francisco become saints to these two deceased Catholic Patriarchs, was Shirley Santamaría, 53-year-old. “I’ve received requests from many people and I will pray for them,” she said minutes before entering the airport pre-boarding lounge José Joaquín de Olmedo.

Santamaria traveled last Thursday along with 16 others in a tour organized by Peragallo Travel.

A day earlier, another group of more than 20 parishioners, organized by the Buentrip Agency, had also departed in a similar tour with destination to Europe. This included the visit to the Vatican on the date of the canonization.

These two groups are already in Europe and will visit several countries before visiting the basilica on April 26. Probably remain until the next day to be closer or if it is possible to enter.

Tomorrow they will join another group of Ecuadorians, organized by the Galasam Agency and led by Bishop Marco Pérez, Bishop of Babahoyo. The pilgrimage will begin visiting the House where was born Juan Pablo II in Wadowice, in Poland, and will travel to other cities to Rome.
