Constitutional amendments package was accepted for processing by the CC

The Admission Chamber of the Constitutional Court (CC) has accepted to process the constitutional reform package presented by assembly members of the PAIS political movement last June 27

The chairman of the CC Patricio Pazmino confirmed that the entity will raffle the Presiding Judge next week, who will begin its study and will convene hearings.

In an interview with EcuadorTV, Pazmino said that the package of amendments is in the hands of the Admissions Chamber, which accepted the process last week.

Furthermore, he said that “in the shortest possible time the issue will be already pronounced by the Court”, without specifying the time to process the order.

The oficer added that being a complex case, judges should take adequate time to perform a study and an analysis in order to support the future decision.
