Prosecutor investigates Sky Jet Elite complaint against Clever Jimenez and Emilio Palacio

The Prosecutor of Pichincha started the preliminary investigation on the complaint for conspiracy against former assemblyman Cléver Jimenez and blogger Emilio Palacio. It was filed by lawyer Fernando Larrea, who represents Juan Pablo Larrea, owner of Jet Sky Elite, an American airline.

According to Larrea, the former editorialist drew on information provided by Jimenez to involve authorities in alleged links to drug trafficking.

“The president, his family or authorities have never used Sky Jet aircraft”, he said.

According to Larrea, to misrepresent the facts of former assemblyman Jiménez “he requested information from the DAC (Civil Aviation Directorate for its Spanish acronym), about a SkyJet plane, but asigned the ship a registration number that belonged to a plane that was involved in drug trafficking”.

This information “was collected by Palacio on his blog and a Hispanic television network in the United States that also issued the unfounded news”, he said.
