Diego Martínez complete the board of monetary regulation

The appointment of Diego Martinez as a delegate of President Rafael Correa, to the Policy and Regulatory Financial and Monetary Board (JPRMF for its Spanish acronym), specific its conformation. The first meeting is expected, which shall be called by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Policy, Patricio Rivera, who heads this control body.

The Board brings together the four entities that exist at the moment: the Banking Board, the Board of Securities of Market Regulation, the Regulation Board of Solidarity and Popular Economy and the Board of the Central Bank (BCE for its Spanish acronym).

Among the 48 functions the body has are: to formulate and conduct monetary, credit, financial and exchange rate policies, including the policy of insurance and securities and regulate financial activities that exercise the entities of the National Financial System
