Pena Nieto starts his 3rd mandate with low popularity and calls for his resignation

The president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, began on Monday his third year in office with the lowest level of popularity and the challenge of ending violence, impunity and corruption that prevail in the country.

The level of disapproval rose from 46% to 58% from August to the present, after two years ago it barely reached 30%, according to a survey published by the newspaper Reforma.

81% of citizens described as very bad or wrong his work in combating violence, a proportion that reached 72% in terms of efforts to eradicate corruption.

Besides the dozens of marches that were held across the country to demand the government find the 43 young missing students of Iguala, these also called for the resignation of Pena Nieto with signs and shouts.
