Gloria Toapanta and Carlos Tayupanta are leading, with 95 points, the competition for the partial renewal of the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym).

Solanda Goyes, Ramón Torres and Omar Serrano are in the following positions, with 86 points each one.

On December 3, the selection commission adopted the report of the written test. From December 4 and for two days participants will be notified. Then there will be three days to request reclassification, and four days to discuss the order and the final notification.

The best rated will replace Domingo Paredes and Roxana Silva, chosen by lot to leave the Council. The process was questioned by women’s groups, but the chairman of the commission, Edwin Alvarado, said that a technical work has been done.
