Signatures collection accelerates to participate in elections

Fifteen political parties rush to complete the 178,000 signatures requires to participate in the elections of 2017.

These signatures must be collected until August if candidates want to participate in the upcoming elections. The Regulations on the Registration of parties and movements of the National Electoral Council (CNE) said that it can take “up to six months before election day” to complete the requirements.

The Adelante Ecuatoriano Adelante Party hopes to collect more than 200,000 signatures. Wilson Sanchez says that leader Alvaro Noboa has held meetings with the directives and the youth front to coordinate the affiliation campaign.
