The visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, served to sign cooperation agreements and, incidentally, get another loan.
Iran offered a credit line of 100 million dollars for various purposes. Trade, strengthening of technology and the reconstruction of areas affected by the earthquake of April 16 were the main axes, according to Foreign Minister Guillaume Long.
The foreign ministers also talked about joining efforts to get to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) with a joint position and a way to stabilize oil prices. “We are interested in the stabilization of prices and will continue to work in that direction,” said the representative of Ecuador. Mohammad Javad Zarif agreed with him.
During his visit, bilateral ties in education, science, technology, mining and energy were also examined. The result was three agreements. They also discussed possible investments.
