Aysha, queen who promotes the “guayaca” identity in Italy

Aysha Campoverde Toro, Queen of Guayaquil in Italy, came to visit the country to meet with relatives in Guayaquil, Machala and Loja, and to fulfill social work through the Terra Nuestra Foundation and the Ladies Association of Ecuador in Italy.
In the Main Port, Aysha, 17 years old and resident since 9 in Milan, was in the San Francisco 2 cooperative together with Brigitte Balladares, president of the two organizations. They handed out toys to around 100 children and similar activity in Machala, the city where they plan to settle on their return to the country.
Aysha, a student in Italy of the Liceo Lingüístico Salvatore Quasimodo and a fan of dance, knows five languages, the Latin Spanish of her native land, the Italian of the country that welcomed her parents 18 years ago, plus French, English and Chinese.
“I would like to be a translator or stewardess,” says Aysha as she strolls on the Malecón del Salado, inside Guayaquil, on Sunday.
Brigitte accompanies her and comments that the Queen of Guayaquil contest in Italy has been organized for nine years and that she then signed an agreement with the Municipality of Guayaquil to support, she says, the event that promotes the Guayaquil and Ecuadorian identity in that European country. She alludes to the tourist entrepreneurs Joseph Garzozi and Gino Luzzi as those who lent him support in Guayaquil.
“We want to manage the bringing of a container with donated products, we want to see if something can be done with tariffs,” she says.
Today concludes the visit of Aysha, who was in the country for twelve days and who in Guayaquil could taste the encebollado and other dishes besides knowing its corners. (I)
