A new app lets you read the Harry Potter book in an hour

Spritz, a new technology for quick reading, presents just one word at the same time, but at high speed, instead of showing horizontal lines of text, something to which we are habituated.
By controlling a speed between 250 to 1000 words per minute, a reader could finish reading the first Harry Potter book in an hour.
This method of speed reading called Rapid Series Visual Presentation or RSVP, and has been used before, but experts like Michael Masson, psychologist at the University of Victoria, says that “The difficulty is not only in the speed at which you see the words, but in how long it takes to understand once those words come together. “
