A weekly address to justify reforms, debts, constructions, works and disaffiliations

Weekly address number 460, broadcast from La Libertad, in Santa Elena, was used by President Rafael Correa to question criticism of his management. It was also a space to lash out against recent deserters from the Citizen Revolution.

The president spoke of the elections of 2017. Spaces in the National Assembly are still his main concern, despite surveys. According to his estimates, if elections were held today, Alianza PAIS would win three to one.

He spoke about the French Revolution and the word “freedom.” All this to ask citizens to feel identified with the intentions of candidates. He added that the XXI Century Socialism is the right choice, in his view, because he believes that freedom is health, education and equal capacities for everyone.
