The Colombian media RCN reported on a new statement of alleged responsibility of the front “Oliver Sinisterra”, commanded by alias “Guacho”, which announces the suspension of any kind of humanitarian activity for the delivery of the bodies of the three murdered journalists.
In the statement, issued this Monday, it is indicated that they have had the will to deliver the bodies of the journalists.
“From the moment we present our communiqués, the governments of Colombia, Ecuador and the “gringos”, continue to insist on repression, on the solution to this situation by military means, sending more troops to the border, more war,” says the group.
He also stressed that the governments described above are “kidnapping innocent people” under the argument, they say, of being militiamen, relatives or collaborators of the FAR E.P. or relatives of “Guacho”.
In the document, addressed to the International Committee of the Red Cross and relatives of journalists, they assure:
“We have taken the unanimous decision to suspend any type of humanitarian activity in relation to the delivery of the bodies of journalists, because there is no guarantee at the time for the displacement of our units, nor security for the humanitarian mission members.”
Ecuador signed, last Saturday, an agreement with the International Committee of the Red Cross to begin actions to rescue the corpses, including, criminalistics teams of Colombia are ready in Tumaco to receive the bodies and apply corresponding exams. (I)
