Affected by ATPDEA will Benefit with a New National Incentive Plan
Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa, approved the immediate implementation of a National Plan of Incentives for all sectors affected by the failure to renew the Andean Trade Preference System (ATPDEA) said yesterday the Minister of the Production Coordinator, Nathalie Cely.
This plan, that had been structured for several months and that is not a result of the diplomatic impasse with the U.S., has five pillars that are going to be implemented in the shortest possible time.
The main one is the delivery of tax credit certificates that allow to pay tax obligations for exporting companies that have update payments with the state. Other pillars include investment in logistics area along with exporters to establish logistics centers to reduce costs of building products.
This will be complemented with the diversification of products and the market, firm size and profitability of the sectors. She stressed that this s a long term plan implemented by the Government.
