Agroindustrial company has invested $ 7 billion in the country

The company Elalco is one of the private companies that bet to invest in Ecuador. The Minister of Foreign Trade, Pablo Campana, visited on Tuesday, August 13, the agro-industrial company to verify the advances in investment.

Elalco, domiciled in the Mulaló parish of the canton Latacunga, in the province of Cotopaxi, has invested seven billion dollars in 4 production lines with export projection. “We attract foreign investments and the companies that operate in the country reinvest in Ecuador,” Campana said on his Twitter account.

Annually, Elalco produces and processes eight thousand cubic meters of wood. In addition, around 200 jobs are generated. The main beneficiaries are inhabitants of the province. In the medium term, the company intends to become one of the main raw material suppliers in Ecuador.

Hours earlier, the minister met with US company Optimar, future client to carry out investment projects in the country. “Ecuador is becoming an ideal country for investments,” added Campana. (I)
