Al Qaeda Announced 100 Attack Iraq Campaign

The Iraqi branch of al Qaeda said they had launched in August campaign of 100 attacks around the country because of the death of Osama Bin Laden and others responsible for extremist networks.
“These attacks will include air strikes, martyr operations (suicide attacks), roadside bombs, guns and snipers silent attacks in all cities, rural areas and provinces,” the group said in a statement posted on jihadist Internet website Honein.
On August 15, the day that seems to be chosen as the beginning of the campaign since ramadan started on January 1, a series of attacks, suicide attacks, bombings and shootings, in 18 cities in Iraq left 74 dead and more than 300 wounded in the deadliest days since May 2010.
