Alberto Dahik analyzes the current economic situation of Ecuador
Former vice president of the Ecuador Alberto Dahik analyzes the current economic situation: measures to impose new taxes on some products, the fall in average sales, unemployment and the rising amount of debt of the Ecuadorian government.
Dahik affirmed the failure of the economic model and the need to regain the trust of the people to implement a recovery model for the Ecuadorian economy.
“The solution is a true and complete recovery program for the Ecuadorian economy, that can change a model, which failed in Venezuela, in Argentina, in Brazil, which has failed in Ecuador, and if it is not changed and they only apply a little patch, this will continue worsening our situation.”
Hestated that the economy in the country is politicized, “if the economy is ok, it is translated into social welfare. If it is bad, into social crisis. That economy is subject to political interests of both the government and many sectors of the opposition, and not to the sake of the country.”
